Our History

  • The Women’s Resource Center is at the Family Connections building in Cranbrook. The goal of the clinical resource is to empower women to make informed and healthy

    decisions.

  • The Women’s Resource Centre has moved from its previous location at 20A 12th Ave N, Cranbrook, BC to a more central location at Cranbrook Family Connections. The NEW address is 209A 16th Ave North Cranbrook, BC.

  • The Women’s Resource center is a non-profit organization that draws money from donations, grants, and special events. The resource center stopped receiving money from the provincial government in 2004 and aims to raise a sustainable amount of money to keep the doors open.

  • Events are organized by staff at the Centre.  Frequently events are organized in collaboration with other community agencies or groups. An example of these events is the Candlelight Vigil for the Day of Remembrance and Action to End Violence Against Women.mural old centre.4
